Kat

Kat is the boss.

Fran

Originally from Italy, I moved to Australia in late 2012 and never looked back. I fell in love instantly with the beaches, the light, and the ocean lifestyle.

I discovered pole dancing soon after relocating to Perth. I’d always been intrigued by it, and I wanted to build upper body strength and meet new people. After the  first trial class

(nerve-wracking) I was completely hooked. Pole became an obsession in the best possible way. I’ve met so many incredible friends through it…and the ones I didn’t meet in the studio eventually ended up joining, too.

I’m drawn to bendy, twisty tricks and that rush you get when something that once felt impossible suddenly clicks. Outside the studio, I’m a Pilates instructor and Remedial Massage Therapist, and when I’m not hanging off a pole you can usually find me at the beach.

I’m endlessly grateful that Kat opened Paradise Circus—it’s the most beautiful studio I’ve ever trained in, and it’s given me a community full of amazing new friends

Mel

I'm Mel, and I accidentally became an aerialist in December 2023 when I took my very first pole lesson with Kat, mostly because I was looking for a fun way to get my body moving again after having two kids, and partly because “spinning upside down” sounded way more exciting than folding laundry. One lesson in, and I found myself hooked. Not just on the pole, but on the people, the belly laughs, and that magical moment when your body does something you genuinely didn’t think it could. I also ended up finding a dance family I never knew I needed.

Fast forward to January 2025: I tried aerial hoop for the first time and never looked back. Now I live for mid-air giggles, the “hell yes I did that!” moments, and proving to anyone who’ll listen that you absolutely do not need a dance background to learn to fly. All you need is a sense of adventure, a little courage, and the ability to laugh at yourself when gravity wins.
